An Easter raffle at MHA Connell Court helped raise more than £200 for residents.

The Southport home held an Easter raffle where over 100 tickets were sold, which amounted to £214.00 for the homes amenities fund.

There were 25 prizes donated by family members of residents, staff and some by residents themselves.

Prior to the raffle there was some live entertainment to create a party atmosphere.

The home provides residential care for up to 37 residents

Cath Rothwell, activity coordinator said: “A raffle is somewhat of a tradition here at MHA Connell Court.

“We usually do a couple a year, one for Christmas and one for Easter.

“The residents really enjoy them, they are quite keen to know who has won what and they create a wonderful atmosphere at the home.

“We had a whole host of prizes, some were donated by residents so we are very grateful for their gratitude

“The money raised will go into the homes amenities fund, which will be used to arrange activities and trips.

We are overwhelmed with the support and want to thank everyone who bought tickets, sold tickets and donated prizes.”
