A dedicated staff member at MHA Stones Place in Lincoln has celebrated an incredible milestone — 20 years of service with the home.

Gabriela Ryder, who moved to Lincoln from Germany just over two decades ago, began working at MHA Stones Place shortly after arriving in the UK.

Despite feeling homesick at first and unsure how long she would stay, Gabriela soon settled in — and twenty years later, she remains a much-loved member of the team.

To mark her long service achievement, Gabriela was presented with flowers, a certificate, and other gifts by the management team, joined by residents and colleagues to celebrate the special occasion.

MHA Stones Place provides residential care for up to 42 residents, and Gabriela has been part of that community since day one.

24-year-old Sheila Boateng, who moved to the UK from Ghana just over two years ago, is flourishing in her role at MHA Brookfield after joining the organisation a little over a year ago.

Having previously worked in various care homes through agencies, Sheila says the stability and sense of belonging she’s found at MHA Brookfield has made all the difference.

A dedicated member of staff at MHA The Homestead in Carterton is celebrating a decade of service, marking ten years of care, commitment, and career progression within the home.

Verity Perkins, Deputy Home Manager at the 68-resident home, began her journey with MHA The Homestead in 2015 as a care assistant, before progressing to senior carer and later deputy home manager. Her achievement was recognised with a presentation of flowers and a card from Home Manager, Pawel Wisniowski.

Verity’s career path was a significant change from her previous role as a village pub landlady, but she says the transition has been deeply rewarding.
