National Befriending Manager

Sally qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2012 but felt drawn to work beyond the traditional clinical setting, where she could make a broader and more meaningful impact on people’s lives.

After a period working in home care, she joined MHA in 2015, managing Horsforth Communities (then Live at Home) – a scheme that still holds a special place in her heart.

In 2020, Sally moved into a central role to develop the national befriending service. In her current position as National Befriending Manager, she oversees the national service and leads a pilot model that enables the remote management of face-to-face befriending support.

Sally is deeply passionate about improving the lives of older people – valuing their experiences, recognising their contributions, and ensuring that every individual is treated with dignity and respect.
