“Support during tough times is second to none” says senior care assistant who has been working at MHA Lawnfield House for almost 23 years

Senior nurse at MHA Berwick Grange marks 10 years’ service

Partnership between MHA Elmside and local college to encourage collaboration between generations.

MHA Handsworth, a residential care home in Altrincham, recently hosted a sponsored festive walk to raise funds for its amenities. Joined by members of the community, along with pupils and staff from Altrincham Preparatory School, the group walked just under a mile, raising over £120 so far, with more sponsorship expected. The funds will contribute to the home's amenities fund, supporting activities and trips for residents.

Charlotte Fowke, the activities coordinator, expressed gratitude for the great turnout and community support. She also highlighted the positive mood of the residents, who kept the event lively with singing and dancing. The weather was chilly but dry, making for perfect walking conditions. Fowke thanked everyone who contributed to the event, emphasizing the importance of the funds for future activities at the home
