Birthday celebrations at MHA Davids House as resident celebrates 100th birthday

It sounds like a wonderful surprise visit at MHA Stones Place! Derek Evans, known as Mr Motivator, made an unexpected trip to the care home in Lincoln, delighting two of its residents, Sheila Kilvington and John Rooke. Sheila and John, who met Mr Motivator during a cruise years ago, had kept in touch with him ever since.

Mr Motivator, who became famous in the 1990s for his fitness segments on the UK breakfast TV show GMTV, visited the home with his wife Sandra. Staff at MHA Stones were taken by surprise, especially as John had been in contact with him beforehand and helped coordinate the visit. During his time there, Mr Motivator spent around 90 minutes chatting with residents and staff, bringing energy and joy to the home. He even expressed interest in conducting fitness sessions with the residents, a prospect that the staff are excited to organize.

It seems like a truly heartwarming visit that lifted the spirits of everyone involved!
