Residents at MHA Handsworth in Altrincham marked Talk Like A Pirate Day with a day full of pirate-themed fun and festivities.

Following the success of an earlier event, Gorgeous Grandma Day, which celebrated the beauty and wisdom of the female residents, activity coordinator Charlotte Fowkes wanted to create a similar special occasion for the male residents.

The pirate-themed day saw the gentlemen practising their best pirate talk, sharing pirate jokes, and enjoying sea shanties. They donned bandanas and pirate hats, and temporary tattoos proved especially popular.

To cap off the celebration, residents took part in a photoshoot dressed as pirates, complete with treasure maps, parrots, and telescopes.
