Birthday celebrations as resident at MHA Amathea celebrates 100th birthday

A Harrow care home resident marked a remarkable milestone as he celebrated his 100th birthday surrounded by family and staff.

MHA Davids House resident Tony Grant enjoyed an intimate birthday party with close family members after reaching the impressive age of 100.

The home decorated its conservatory lounge with balloons and banners to mark the special occasion, creating a festive atmosphere for Tony and his guests.

To celebrate the milestone, Tony was presented with two birthday cakes. His family brought in a special cake themed around Jack Daniel's in honour of his favourite drink, while the home’s kitchen team also prepared a cake especially for him.

Among the many cards and presents he received was a congratulatory telegram from King Charles III, something Tony said he was very proud to receive.

Tony spent his childhood in Swansea with his parents and siblings. He later served in the British Army, where he met his wife. The couple later had a daughter, Jane.
