There were heartfelt celebrations at MHA Hampton Lodge in Southampton as resident Ellen Ince marked her 100th birthday with a special family gathering.

Ellen, originally from West Yorkshire, has been living at the home since February 2020. She celebrated the milestone with an intimate party surrounded by her sons, Peter and John, and was especially proud to welcome her grandchildren who had travelled all the way from Australia for the occasion.

To honour Ellen's big day, staff at the home decorated one of the lounges with balloons and banners and served a classic Victoria Sponge cake. She also received a telegram from the King and many thoughtful gifts, including flowers.
