Belated festive fun at MHA Handsworth with Christmas and New Year celebrations

There were plenty of celebrations at a care home in Altrincham as resident Irene Eckersley marked her remarkable 101st birthday.

Irene, who lives at MHA Handsworth, celebrated her special day surrounded by her daughter Sue, fellow residents, and staff. The home was decorated with balloons and banners, creating a joyful, party-like atmosphere for the occasion.

The kitchen team prepared a delicious homemade birthday cake, which was enjoyed by everyone.

Originally from Manchester, Irene later moved to Blackpool. During her working life, she was employed as a secretary for an organisation, where she progressed through the ranks to become a manager.
