Care assistant at MHA Ryelands who joined aged 18 marks 30-year service

There were joyful scenes at MHA Heather Grange in Burnley as resident Jennie Hargreaves celebrated her remarkable 102nd birthday with a party organized by the care home.

Jennie, a lifelong Burnley resident and former seamstress, marked the special occasion surrounded by her three children—Barbara, Geoff, and Janette—their partners, and her granddaughter Emma. The Burnley Bar within the home was festively decorated with balloons and banners, setting the perfect atmosphere for the celebration.

Staff joined in the festivities by singing for Jennie, entertaining fellow residents and her family. Guests enjoyed refreshments and a large birthday cake during the cheerful afternoon.
