Four brave colleagues from MHA Pennystone Court in Blackpool took on a daring challenge and snorkelled with sharks at SEA LIFE Blackpool Aquarium — all in the name of raising funds for their home’s amenities fund. So far, their efforts have brought in over £1,400, with donations still coming in.

Jaide Foster-Howarth, Marcina Sowe, Amanda Geraghty, and Karie Elliot all work at the home, which provides residential and dementia care for 36 residents. The team wanted to push themselves out of their comfort zones to raise money for a special new project: a reminiscence room designed to bring back memories and comfort to their residents.

The room will include thoughtful touches like a traditional kitchen pulley and branded equipment from the residents’ youth, helping to spark conversations, memories, and a sense of familiarity.
