Birthday celebrations at MHA Handsworth as resident marks 101st birthday

30 under 30: Meet Lewis Stokes, senior care assistant at MHA Mapplewell Manor aiming to be part of management team one day (28/30)

Nine dedicated staff members from MHA Stratton House in Bath are gearing up to face the grueling Tough Mudder challenge, all in the name of raising funds to support the residents of their care home.

Colleagues Amy Jacobs, Emily Millns, Cosmin Dranceanu, Aniz Damani, Fleur Preedy, Jake Grant, Louise Gascoigne, Milly Yiend, and Anne Head will take on the infamous obstacle course on August 16 at the Badminton Estate in South Gloucestershire. They’ll be joined by friends and family members for extra support and encouragement on the day.

Tough Mudder, known for its punishing 5K and 15K obstacle courses, tests participants' strength, stamina, and mental resilience with a series of muddy, cold, and physically demanding challenges.

Funds raised from the event will go towards the MHA Stratton House amenities fund, which supports activities and outings for the home’s 33 residents—helping to enrich their daily lives and promote well-being.

So far, the team has raised nearly £600 through their JustGiving page
