Della McKernan, a beloved resident of MHA Heather Grange, recently celebrated her 100th birthday in style, receiving an overwhelming outpouring of love from the local community. The milestone was marked with a party attended by close family and friends, as well as an incredible 128 birthday cards from well-wishers.

In the lead-up to her birthday, the care home issued an appeal encouraging members of the community to send cards to Della in a bid to help her reach 100 cards. The response was extraordinary, with local schools, nurseries, care homes, family, and friends all contributing to the heartfelt collection.

Della was also honoured with a beautiful bouquet and card from Burnley Football Club, and a telegram from the King, adding a regal touch to the celebrations. The Burnley Bar at Heather Grange was festively decorated with balloons and banners to mark the special occasion.
