Birthday celebrations at MHA Moorland House as resident celebrates 100th birthday

Working in nursing was always part of the plan for Ella Redmore, who is now celebrating an important milestone in her healthcare career after becoming the first Assistant Practitioner at MHA Torrwood.

Ella joined MHA Torrwood in February 2023 as a care assistant and quickly demonstrated a passion for learning and professional development. Keen to build on her experience and progress within the sector, Ella initially applied for a senior care assistant role around a year after joining the home. However, when MHA advertised trainee assistant practitioner opportunities, she decided to take on the new challenge.

As part of the role, Ella began studying on a two-year course with the University of Central Lancashire, supported throughout by her mentor, Senior Nurse Iustina Mihai, who has worked with MHA for 10 years.
