Birthday celebrations at MHA Davids House as resident celebrates 100th birthday

A heartfelt fundraising effort has seen over £800 raised for residents of a Wolverhampton dementia care home, thanks to the determination of Sarah Smith, daughter of one of the home’s residents.

Sarah, whose father Brian Platt lives at MHA Waterside House, took on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon alongside colleagues from her workplace, Barton Storage Systems in Bilston. The climb raised a total of £881, which will go directly into the home’s amenities fund to support activities and outings for residents.

After completing the challenge, Sarah and Barton Storage’s operations director, Steve Barrett, visited Waterside House to personally present the cheque.
