A Leamington Spa care home resident has fulfilled a lifelong dream after being given the chance to pull a pint for the very first time.

Pat Dyer, who lives at MHA Homewood, had always wanted to pull a pint with her own hands. After sharing her wish with activity coordinator Jackie Tudor, arrangements were made for Pat and a fellow resident to visit The Fat Pug on Guy’s Cliffe Road.

The visit was organised as part of MHA’s Seize the Day initiative, which encourages residents to revisit activities and experiences from their past or try something they have always wanted to do.

Pat was delighted to get behind the bar and successfully pull herself a pint of cider, before taking a sip to sample the finished drink. However, despite enjoying the experience, Pat revealed that prosecco was more to her taste.
