A Bristol care home has expanded its range of group-led activities after introducing an interactive tablet designed to engage residents in fun and stimulating ways.

MHA Hartcliffe, which provides nursing care for 65 residents, won a “Tiny Tablet” at a managers’ conference hosted by Methodist Homes (MHA), the organisation that runs the home.

The Tiny Tablet is a 32-inch interactive touchscreen on wheels, allowing it to be easily moved around the home so residents of varying mobility levels can take part. It comes pre-loaded with a variety of apps, including games and quizzes, and also provides access to platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Zoom.

The device has proved popular across MHA homes nationwide, and MHA Hartcliffe is already seeing the benefits, with residents responding enthusiastically to the new addition.
