A senior care assistant at MHA Lauriston has shared how a chance decision to help her mum during a busy period at work led to a career she now describes as a privilege.

Georgina Barnes, who has worked at MHA Lauriston for three years, began her journey into care after previously working in the printing industry. When staffing shortages arose at the care home where her mum worked, Georgina stepped in to help — a decision that changed her career path entirely.
