MHA care home MHA Glen Rosa has opened an in-house shop for residents after they suggested having a permanent store instead of a mobile service.

The new “Glen Rosa Shop,” located on the first floor, sells everyday essentials such as toiletries and tissues alongside snacks and confectionery. Items are being sold at cost price, and the shop is expected to open daily.

Activity coordinator Emma Smith said the idea took around two months to develop and has already received positive feedback from residents and their families. The home also plans to rename the shop based on suggestions from residents.

The care home, which supports 47 residents with residential and dementia care, is also seeking volunteers to help run the shop.
