Birthday celebrations at MHA Davids House as resident celebrates 100th birthday

A care home in Bognor Regis rolled out the red carpet for its residents after hosting a glamorous awards ceremony inspired by its parent organisation’s annual staff awards.

MHA Greenways took its cue from the MHA OSCAR’s – an annual event celebrating the achievements of staff and volunteers across the organisation – and created a special version dedicated entirely to residents.

The home’s main lounge was transformed for the occasion, complete with balloons and a red carpet for winners to make their grand entrance. In total, more than 35 categories were created, ensuring that every resident received an award to the delight of both residents and their loved ones.

Categories included Best Gardener, Best Singer, Most Social, Most Informative and Best Sense of Humour.

The event was organised by care assistants Ellie Faulkner and Shaleah Faux, while Stephen Ovwufeti took on the role of master of ceremonies.
