Birthday celebrations at MHA Fitzwarren House as lifelong Robins fan celebrates 100th birthday

Residents at MHA Handsworth have been sharing memories from their lives through a special exhibition designed to encourage connection, conversation and reminiscence.

The Altrincham-based care home has set up the exhibition in its conservatory, showcasing eight stories from residents, complete with photographs from different stages of their lives.

The initiative coincided with the Professional Association for Activity Providers and Activity Provision (NAPA)’s National Day of Arts in Care Homes, which this year celebrated the theme ‘Stories that connect us’.

The stories cover a range of topics, including childhood, early years, careers and family life, offering residents, staff and loved ones an opportunity to learn more about one another.

The home plans to keep the exhibition on display for some time, allowing more people to engage with the stories and spark meaningful conversations.

To mark the unveiling, the home hosted a coffee morning.
