Birthday celebrations at MHA Davids House as resident turns 100 with two birthday parties

Resident at MHA Morel Court completes wish of walking down disused railway line thanks to Seize the Day initiative

MHA The Homestead welcomes Care Home Open Week with music festival

MHA Elmside and North Hertfordshire College have teamed up to promote intergenerational collaboration through a new community partnership.

As part of the initiative, students from the college have been visiting residents at the home each week, taking part in hand care and nail painting sessions designed to build confidence and create meaningful connections with residents.

The partnership aims to support community engagement and wellbeing while encouraging people from different generations to connect and learn from one another.

Throughout the programme, students have developed communication skills, grown in confidence and formed genuine friendships with residents. In turn, residents at MHA Elmside have enjoyed regular social interaction and spending time with young people from the local community.

The home provides residential and dementia care for up to 69 residents.
