Pride Month has become an increasingly significant celebration across the UK, with cities hosting vibrant parades, community events, and educational initiatives throughout June. It’s a time not only for celebration but also for reflection, advocacy, and visibility for the LGBTQ+ community.

For people like Jaide, Pride Month is an opportunity to express identity, celebrate individuality, and embrace community. Jaide, who joined MHA just over two years ago as an Activity Coordinator at MHA Pennystone Court in Blackpool, recalls being “overwhelmed” by the support she received as a trans woman.

That support inspired her to join the Pride in MHA network, initially as a member. Today, she serves as Chair—a role that has been transformative, both personally and in her ability to uplift others.
