A resident at a Colwyn Bay care home marked her milestone 100th birthday with not one, but two special celebrations.

Cora Joyce, who lives at MHA Coed Craig, turned 100 on 2 February 2026. She has been living at the home for two and a half years.

Her first party was organised by friends and held at Abergele Golf Club, with several members of staff from the home also attending. Later that day, a second celebration took place back at MHA Coed Craig, where one of the dining rooms was decorated with balloons and banners so Cora could celebrate with fellow residents and staff.

Cora received more than 50 birthday cards, including a telegram from the King.

MHA Coed Craig provides residential and residential dementia care for up to 45 people.
