Birthday celebrations at MHA Fitzwarren House as lifelong Robins fan celebrates 100th birthday

Doreen Petrie, a resident at MHA Hartcliffe care home in Bristol, marked her 100th birthday with an intimate celebration surrounded by close family. Born and raised in Bristol, Doreen attended Bedminster Down School and worked in the tobacco industry before becoming a proud mother of three — Robert, Wendy, and Emma.

Since moving into the care home in December 2021, Doreen has become well-loved by staff. To mark her milestone, the reminisce room was decorated with balloons and banners, and her family brought a cake and gifts, including a special telegram from the King.
