A heartfelt reunion took place at MHA Montpellier Manor in Stainton when two remarkable centenarians, both former "Aycliffe Angels," were brought together after more than 80 years apart.

Jo Allan and Gwen Meggison, both aged 103, were reunited thanks to a coffee morning organized by the care home. The two women had worked together during the Second World War at the Royal Ordnance Factory (ROF) in Aycliffe, County Durham—part of a workforce of around 17,000 women who risked their lives daily manufacturing munitions for the war effort.
