A Newport Pagnell care home raised more than £800 after hosting a weekend packed with fundraising events.

MHA Westbury Grange held two fundraisers over the weekend, beginning with a 1950s-themed quiz before following it up with a summer fete and car boot sale.

Together, the events raised £800.82, which will go towards the home’s amenities fund.

The quiz was organised and led by activity coordinator Sophie Wise and proved a great success, raising £172.50 through a £4 donation per person, which included a hot dog.

Despite wet weather, the home continued with its plans for the summer fete and car boot sale, moving the event indoors. It raised a further £628.32.

The fete and car boot sale were organised by home manager Julie Roche and administration manager Jo Cassidy.

MHA Westbury Grange provides residential dementia and general nursing care for 45 residents.
