As a General Care Home Volunteer you will provide valuable support to the care home team by offering a flexible approach and completing or assisting with tasks as required.

Care homes are busy environments with a variety of activity happening every day. We are looking for volunteers who can support homes in a flexible way picking up tasks as directed. This could include assisting with an activity, setting up rooms, basic administration, delivering laundry and any other tasks as required.

As a kitchen helper you will assist the cook with meal preparation for residents and general cleaning in the dining area and kitchen.

As a kitchen helper you will assist with the preparation and serving of light refreshments for members at our Butties and Brews social group.

As a Lunch Club helper you will be supporting the running of the Thursday lunch club running at the Methodist Church.

As a Lunch Club helper you will be supporting the running of the Coffee Pot social group running at Pudsey House.

As a Lunch Club helper you will be supporting the running of the Friendship activity and lunch group running at Stratton Methodist Church.

Get involved in supporting the successful running of the group by talking with the older members, helping them join in activities and helping with preparing the venue for lunch service.

The role of the lunch club volunteer is to support this valuable service, which aims to help improve the quality of life older people who are socially isolated and may only get out to this activity.
