We are looking for volunteers to support the social club in Featherstone, Pontefract on alternate Mondays 10.30-12pm and/or 1.00- 2.30pm.
What are the benefits of becoming a volunteer?
The aim of social and activity groups is to help improve the quality-of-life older people who are socially isolated and may only get out to this activity. Through supporting this activity, you'll help older people to connect with others, and help to improve their fitness and wellbeing. You will also gain valuable skills and knowledge that can enhance your personal and professional development.
How much time do I need to commit as a volunteer?
You will be able to volunteer on alternate Mondays 10.30-12pm and/or 1.00- 2.30pm. We ask that you are able to be with us for at least 6 months.
What kind of support will I receive as a volunteer?
You will receive ongoing support and guidance from a local coordinator who will monitor your progress, and provide feedback. You will also have access to online resources, training opportunities, and peer support from other volunteers. Travel expenses will be paid.
