I have worked within the care industry for 14 years, beginning my journey as a community carer, where I quickly discovered my passion for care. After nearly two years in the community, I moved into a care home, gaining experience as part of a dedicated team while completing my Level 2 NVQ in Care and training to safely administer medication.
In 2020, I embraced a new opportunity as an Activities Coordinator, a role that allowed me to focus more closely on enriching the daily lives of residents. In 2023, I was delighted to bring this passion and experience to MHA Handsworth. I believe that meaningful activities are a vital part of care home life and can make a real difference when families choose a home for their loved ones.
I feel I have found my calling in creating stimulating, engaging activities that bring joy, comfort, and connection to residents.
