Care Home Support Volunteer - Torrwood Care Home

There are so many things to help with, either with residents directly or supporting staff and we would like volunteers to be flexible but also to choose what they are comfortable with. Tasks could vary week to week and include supporting with activities, admin, serving meals and refreshments and more. 

This role offers a very flexible volunteering experience and is of great value to our care homes as it means that a variety of tasks can be completed as needed.  This in turn benefits our residents as volunteers are on hand to assist with tasks or spend time with residents as required. You can also enrich your own life with new experiences and friendships. You will also gain valuable skills and knowledge that can enhance your personal and professional development.

The advert details the days and times we're needing help at the moment.  There may be other opportunities to volunteer at other time in the future.  

Generally, we ask for a minimum of one hour per week for at least six months.

You will receive ongoing support and guidance from the care home team who will guide you, monitor your progress, and provide feedback. You will also have access to online resources, training opportunities, and peer support from other volunteers.
Travel expenses will be paid.
