About the Role
In this role you will use your skills and Art experience to support a class for people that are living with dementia assisted by their support worker with an art experience using paints and acrylics.
You may be supporting an individual or you may be assisting running the group. You may come to the role with a definite skill you would like to share – art, drawing, painting.

How much time do I need to commit as a volunteer?
The advert details the days and times we're needing help at the moment. There may be other opportunities to volunteer at other time in the future.
Generally, we ask for a minimum of one hour per week for at least six months.
What kind of support will I receive?
You will receive ongoing support and guidance from the care home team who will guide you, monitor your progress, and provide feedback. You will also have access to online resources, training opportunities, and peer support from other volunteers.
Travel expenses will be paid.

- Friendly with good communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and understanding of the needs of older people
- Flexible, reliable, and punctual
- A clear sense of personal boundaries and confidentiality
- You'll have the ability to be supportive and non-judgemental
- You'll be willing to engage with training and development
