Our gardening volunteers love to be outside and create welcoming spaces. This flexible role is perfect for green fingered enthusiasts who understand the importance of the outdoors. 

What are the benefits of becoming a gardening volunteer? 

Our residents benefit from the communal gardens on offer.  Your role will help more people to receive benefit from the outdoors, which could make a significant difference to residents.  You can also enrich your own life with new experiences and friendships. You will also gain valuable skills and knowledge that can enhance your personal and professional development.

How much time do I need to commit as a gardening volunteer? 

Generally, we ask for a minimum of two hours per week for at least six months.

What kind of support will I receive as a gardening volunteer?  

You will receive ongoing support and guidance from the Care Home manager, who will direct you, monitor your progress, and provide feedback. You will also have access to online resources, training opportunities, and peer support from other volunteers.
Travel expenses will be paid.
