As a kitchen helper you will assist with the preparation and serving of light refreshments and meals for members, or provide hot drinks at social groups.

What are the benefits of becoming a volunteer?

By becoming a kitchen helper volunteer, you can support our services and help us to deliver a hot, delicious, nutritious meal to our members. You can gain valuable skills and knowledge that can enhance your personal and professional development, or bring skills from a previous role to help us provide a meal which is the highlight of the weekly menu for our members.

How much time do I need to commit as a volunteer?

The advert details the days and times we're needing help at the moment. There may be other opportunities to volunteer at other time in the future.

Generally, we ask for a minimum of one hour per week for at least six months.

What kind of support will I receive as a volunteer?

You will receive ongoing support and guidance from a local coordinator who will match you with an older person, monitor your progress, and provide feedback. You will also have access to online resources, training opportunities, and peer support from other volunteers.
