We are looking for volunteer kitchen assistants to support the lunch club in the Airedale/Castleford area of Pontefract every Wednesday 9.30- 12pm, 12- 2.30pm.
You will assist with the preparation and serving of the lunch time meal or afternoon refreshments for our members.
The aim of social and activity groups is to help improve the quality of life older people who are socially isolated and may only get out to this activity.

Through supporting this activity, you'll help older people to connect with others, and help to improve their fitness and wellbeing. You will also gain valuable skills and knowledge that can enhance your personal and professional development.
How much time do I need to commit as a volunteer?
Every Wednesday 9.30- 12pm, 12- 2.30pm and we ask that you are able to volunteer with us for at least 6 months.
What kind of support will I receive as a volunteer?
You will receive ongoing support and guidance from a local coordinator who will monitor your progress, and provide feedback. You will also have access to online resources, training opportunities, and peer support from other volunteers. Reasonable travel expenses will be paid.
