Aa Volunteer Minibus Escort your role is to provide support to older people who are residents (passengers), travelling on a minibus.
You will escort people from the home on to the minibus, and then take them into the location where they are attending their activity, and after the activity see them safely back into their home, at the agreed times. By volunteering as a Minibus driver, you will not only help older people to have fun and stay active, but also enrich your own life with new experiences and friendships. You will also gain valuable skills and knowledge that can enhance your personal and professional development.

What training and support will be provided
- We will provide you with a full induction for the role
- Ongoing support from a named contact
- Out of pocket expenses in accordance with MHA’s Expenses Policy
- Training and updating of skills and knowledge relevant to the role as appropriate
DBS Requirements
This role requires an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check as it involves 1-1 contact with Scheme members or care home residents.
Times and Commitment
- We ask that you make a minimum of six months commitment to this role
- We ask you to be able to commit regularly to the trip or regularly scheduled outing, and we can agree the frequency with you.
