A volunteer driver also provides friendly conversation and companionship to the older person during any journey.

How much time do I need to commit as a Driver volunteer?
The time commitment varies depending on the needs of the MHA location you are matched with and your availability. Generally, MHA asks for a minimum of one hour per week for at least six months.
What kind of support will I receive as a Driver volunteer?
You will receive ongoing support and guidance from the Scheme who will direct you, monitor your progress, and provide feedback. You will also have access to online resources, training opportunities, and peer support from other volunteers.
Travel expenses will be paid.
