You will creating and organising social activities for older people in Poulton-le-Fylde FY6 7QE. 

By volunteering you will not only help older people to have fun and stay active, but also enrich your own life with new experiences and friendships. You will also gain valuable skills and knowledge that can enhance your personal and professional development.

What are the activities that MHA offers for older people? 

MHA offers a variety of events and activities for older people in its care homes, retirement living, and community groups. These include arts and crafts, music, games, exercise, gardening, and more.

What are the benefits of becoming an activities volunteer? 

By becoming an activities volunteer, you can help older people to have fun and stay active. You can also enrich your own life with new experiences and friendships. You will also gain valuable skills and knowledge that can enhance your personal and professional development.

How much time do I need to commit as an activities volunteer? 

We ask that you give 2 hours on alternate Mondays 10am-12pm for 6 months or more. 

What kind of support will I receive as an activities volunteer?  

You will receive ongoing support and guidance from a local coordinator who will monitor your progress, and provide feedback. You will also have access to online resources, training opportunities, and peer support from other volunteers.
