The aim of social and activity groups is to help improve the quality-of-life older people who are socially isolated and may only get out to this activity. Exercise Activity Volunteers will support the running of exercise groups for older people, providing the support members need to join in the activity. There may be other duties to assist the smooth running of the session such as assisting with serving refreshments or setting up a room.

How much time do I need to commit as a volunteer?
The advert details the days and times we're needing help at the moment. There may be other opportunities to volunteer at other time in the future.
Generally, we ask for a minimum of one hour per week for at least six months.
What kind of support will I receive?
You will receive ongoing support and guidance from a local coordinator who will match you with an older person, monitor your progress, and provide feedback. You will also have access to online resources, training opportunities, and peer support from other volunteers.
Travel expenses will be paid.
