We are looking for volunteer cooks to support the Lunch club in Featherstone, Pontefract on alternate Mondays from 9.30am- 1.00pm.
As cook you will assist with the preparation and serving of light refreshments and meals at the lunch clubs for members, or provide hot drinks at social groups. The aim of lunch groups is to help improve the quality of life older people who are socially isolated and may only get out to this activity.

Through supporting this activity, you'll help older people to connect with others, and help to improve their fitness and wellbeing. How much time do I need to commit as a volunteer?
You will be able to volunteer on alternate Mondays from 9.30am- 1.00pm. We ask that you are able to be with us for at least 6 months.
What kind of support will I receive as a volunteer?
You will receive ongoing support and guidance from a local coordinator who will monitor your progress, and provide feedback. You will also have access to online resources, training opportunities, and peer support from other volunteers. Travel expenses will be paid.
