A volunteer driver provides friendly conversation and companionship to the older person during the journey.
What are the benefits of becoming a volunteer?
By becoming a volunteer driver, you can make a positive difference in the lives of older people who may be feeling lonely or isolated. You can also enrich your own life with new experiences and friendships. You will also gain valuable skills and knowledge that can enhance your personal and professional development.
You will support local members collecting and dropping off at our two social groups: Love to Move and Crafting
How much time do I need to commit as a volunteer?
3 hours weekly. Generally, we ask for a minimum of one hour per week for at least six months.
What kind of support will I receive as a volunteer?
You will receive ongoing support and guidance from a local coordinator who will monitor your progress, and provide feedback. You will also have access to online resources, training opportunities, and peer support from other volunteers.
Travel expenses will be paid.
