About the role
As Catering Manager, you will manage the Catering provision within the home/scheme to deliver a quality service and to ensure that all residents nutritional needs are met whilst respecting the choice of the individual and promotes health and wellbeing.
Managing the efficiency, hygiene and safety in the catering area and to organise and supervise the work of other staff working in the kitchen.
To maintain the correct HACCP principles in all catering areas and ensure all legislative standards are met. These along with other responsibilities enable you to help maintain the atmosphere and practice of care based on the Values of Methodist Homes deriving from a concern for the individual and mutual respect between residents and staff.

About you
You will have been an excellent leader and be able to delegate to a kitchen team, ensuring all of the residents receive their meals throughout the day. You will have a city and guild 1 or 2 qualification/NVQ level 2 in catering. You will be able to understand the national minimum standards for care catering and have experience within a care environment or restaurant/pub.
