Dementia care
Our dedicated dementia care homes are purpose-built to provide support in a secure and comfortable residential or nursing setting.
What is dementia?
Dementia refers to several conditions that cause a person to have memory loss, difficulty in communication, and thinking. Alzheimer’s disease, Vascular dementia, and Lewy body dementia are some of these conditions.
People living with dementia benefit from care and support that works with their strengths and compensates for their difficulties. Over time a person living with dementia and their families may need more specialist support. At MHA, we call this relationship-centred support.
Why choose an MHA dementia care home
We offer support for people living with dementia and their families, creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable, safe and can be themselves. By understanding the life stories of our residents and their loved ones, and incorporating a variety of activities, technology, music therapy, and chaplaincy, we ensure that our care and support is always personalised, helping older people to live later life well.
